Doris M. Lowe

Doris M. Lowe, 87, of Port Charlotte, FL passed away Tuesday, December 9, 2014. She was the daughter of Samuel and Lillian Kutz. Doris was born June 17, 1927 in Easton, PA where she raised her family and worked at Lafayette College. She and her husband moved to Orange City, FL in 1996, then to Port Charlotte, FL in 2009. Doris was proud to live at South Port Square, cherished her new friends, enjoyed gardening, reading, playing the organ and hammered dulcimer. She was secretary of the Garden Club and Landscape committee, and more recently found enjoyment in water color painting. Doris was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and treasured her family. She will be greatly missed by her devoted sons, Dennis Lowe of Copake, NY; Jack and wife Carol Lowe of Punta Gorda, FL and; grandchildren, Amber, Jacki, Nikki and Sarah and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, John "Jack" F. Lowe; daughter, Doreen and brother, Samuel Kutz.
