Doris L. Prather

Doris Prather, 73 of Punta Gorda, went home to be with the Lord on Satuday, March 28, 2009. She was born on December 12, 1935 in Columbus, OH. She moved to Florida 21 years ago. Doris is survived by her husband, Jim of Punta Gorda; son, Michael Cary of Columbus, Oh; daughter, Patty Hindes of Stillwater, MN; 9 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Munsch Doris was never one to sit still. She loved yard work, decorating and was a very independent and strong-willed woman. Doris was loved very much by her family and friends. She was a devoted member of Tri-City Baptist Church, where she volunteered regularly. She was a woman of great faith. She will be remembered for her warmth, love and beautiful smile that brightened every room she was in. She will be dearly missed. She has finished her course and is now with her Lord. There will be a visitation Tues. March 31 from 10AM to 12 noon at Tri-City Baptist Church with a celebration of Doris's life at 12 Noon, with Rev. Jay Shepard officiating.
