Donald Wayne Abbott

Donald "Wayne" Abbott, 76, of Weidman, MI passed away February 7, 2011. He was born December 6, 1934 in Weidman, Michigan to Donald and Birdie (Powell) Abbott. Wayne worked with mentally challenged adults and children at Regional Center in Mt Pleasant, Michigan. He liked cross-country skiing, ice skating on his pond and also enjoyed music and playing the key board. Wayne was a very talented handy man and he possessed a passion anything he worked on or with. He will be remembered as a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to those who knew him. Wayne will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 27 years, Linda Lee; children, Rick (Hye-Kyun) Abbott, Stuart Abbott, Tim Abbott, Leanne Abbott, Tom (Jeanie) Abbott, David (Tonja) Kinney, Jeff (Paula) Kinney and Tom (Treca) Kinney; 29 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brother, Mitchell (Carol) Abbott; sister, Phyllis (Dan) Wernette.
