Donald R. Voss, Sr.

Donald Voss, Sr. 84, of Punta Gorda, Florida passed away July 16, 2008. He was born February 25, 1924 in Elgin, IL to William and Ella (Seegert) Voss. Donald served in the US Navy during WWII in the South Pacific. He and his brother Ralph were the cofounders of Voss Furniture located in St. Charles, IL. Donald loved playing cards, watching baseball and was an avid Cubs fan. He enjoyed the company of his friends and family. He will be missed by his daughters, Julie Gardner of St. Charles, IL and Peggy (Jeff) Parks of Naples, FL; sons, Donald Voss, Jr., of Atlanta, GA and Charles (Janice) Voss of St. Charles, IL; nine grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Donald was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria and brother Ralph. A celebration of Donald's life will be at 2:00 pm, Monday, July 21, 2008 at Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation, 1515 Tamiami Trail, Punta Gorda.
