Donald L. Linn, 64, of Port Charlotte passed away December 31, 2005. He was born October 11, 1941 in Audubon, IA. Donn graduated from Audubon High School and attended Iowa State where he married Patricia after his junior year in August 24, 1963. He served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War where he flew KC 135 tankers and KC 130 cargo. Donn and Pat became foster parents for children who where disabled and abused over a six year period. Donn took a job as superintendent for Zion Church Designers and Builders in varies states then moved to Florida in 1991. He was a member of Abundant Life Assembly of God. Donn will be greatly missed by his wife and soul mate Pat; mother Lois Linn of Audubon, IA; sisters Charlotte Mosman of Carroll, IA and Carol (Marv) Munyon of Rockton, ILL; brother Dale (Sheryl) Linn of Pt. Charlotte, FL; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and as well as friends, brothers and sisters in Christ in several states. He is preceded in death by his father Lyle Linn and brothers-in-law Gordon Boken and Art Mosman. A memorial service in celebration of Donald’s life will be at 7:00 pm, Monday, February 6 at Church of God of Prophecy, 662 Cooper St. Punta Gorda. The family requests donations to help with medical expenses in lieu of flowers. To express condolences to the family, please sign the online guest book.
