Donald G. Krasny

Donald Grant Krasny, born in Chicago Illinois, passed away at Tidewell Hospice House in Port Charlotte, Florida on September 20, 2024. 

Don was married to the love of his life, Susan Krasny, for 58 years. He was the son of the late Grace and Irving Krasny of Chicago. He will be greatly missed by his sister, Donna Weinberg, and husband, Ernest; brother-in-law, Chuck Baygood and wife Sue; nephew, Jeff Weinberg and wife, Kathy; niece, Elizabeth Cornman and husband, Michael, as well as his beloved cousins, Lynn and Rob Razowsky, Aaron and Lisa Boniecki and Gail Lindberg. 

Throughout his life, Don formed lasting bonds with close friends who will miss his warmth, humor and unwavering spirit. He was truly “one of a kind.” 

Don was a CPA and spent his career in business and land development, as well as financial consulting. 

He spent many years sailing Lake Michigan and Florida Waters. After moving to Florida in 1999, he joined the Mariners of PGI Boat Club and enjoyed many cruising adventures with them. Don was also a member of St. Andrews Golf Club, where he developed a passion for golf, which was with him throughout his life. 

Don lived life to the fullest. As you remember him and celebrate his life, smile and raise your glass, knowing he will be toasting you back with glass of scotch, a smile on his face and a good story to tell. 

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
