Donald John Kasper

Donald John Kasper, 82, of Punta Gorda passed away October 20, 2009. He was the son of Clement and Monica (Yanke) Kasper, born June 29, 1927 in Cleveland, OH. Don was a shop manager for Merrick Chevrolet for 47 years. He came to Punta Gorda from Strongsville, OH in 2001 and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. Don will be greatly missed by his wife of 62 years, Lois; daughter, Barbara Kasper of Strongsville; son, Gary (Mary Ann) Kasper of Kent, OH; grandsons, Nathan Kasper of Houston, TX and Evan Kasper, of Kent, OH; and brother Thomas (Patricia) Kasper of Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Stephen Kasper; and brother Raymond Kasper. A memorial service in celebration of Don’s life will be at 2:00 pm Friday, October 23, 2009 at Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services. Interment will be at a later date in Woodvale Cemetery in Middleburg Heights, OH. The family requests memorial donations be made to TideWell Hospice, 1144 Veronica Street, Port Charlotte, FL 33952.
