Donald G. Townsend

Donald G. Townsend Sr., of Punta Gorda, Florida passed away peacefully on the morning of November 23, 2021, at the age of 91.  He was born on January 10, 1930, to Robert and Adelaide Townsend in Lawrence, Massachusetts.  Donald was a proud United States Army Veteran and an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Punta Gorda.  Donald was also a Mason for the past 34 years, most recently serving as a member of the Punta Gorda Lodge.

Donald will be deeply missed by his daughter, Diane Foucault; son, Kevin Townsend; brother and sister-in-law, James and Brenda Townsend; his 10 grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, great-grandchildren, and his beloved cat, Stinger.

Donald is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Adelaide Townsend; brother, Robert Townsend; sister Dorothy Meisel; sons, Donald Townsend Jr. and David Townsend; and daughter, Doreen Malek.
