Dolores A. Blaney, 76, of Punta Gorda, FL passed away on January 12, 2012 at 8:43 AM at Suncoast Hospice, Palm Harbor, FL She was born January 17, 1935 in New York, NY to Colonel Jack and Agnes Rosskopf. Dolores "Debbie" as she was known by her family and friends was a friend of Bill W for over 44 years and worked as a counselor in her early years and a homemaker later in life. She was happy traveling and spending time with friends and family. Her husband Parker Blaney Sr. who preceded her, they had a wonderful relationship and as you know a lot of laughter. Debbie is survived by one son Douglas Dodge, Jr. and wife Janet and three daughters Laura Dodge Curtis , Cynthia Voyles and Kimberly Dodge and their father Earl Douglas Dodge, Sr. as well as two step children Cynthia Sawyer, Parker Blaney, Jr. and wife Lanci, grandchildren and great grand children. A memorial service in celebration of Debbie's life will be at Larry Taylor Funeral Center at 11:00 am. on Tuesday, January 17th at 1515 Tamiami Trail, Punta Gorda, Florida. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to Suncoast Hospice Brookside House, 164 West Lake Road Palm Harbor, FL 34683. A burial service will take place at a later time at Arlington National Cemetery, Virginia where she will be buried with her husband Parker N.
