Demetrious “Mickey” Armenakis, 74, of Punta Gorda passed away February 1, 2007. He was born April 15, 1932 in Miami, FL. Mickey served in the US Marines during the Korean Conflict. He worked as an insulator doing construction and was a member of Asbestos Worker’s of American Union Local #60 in Miami, Florida. Mickey moved to Punta Gorda from Deland, FL in 1998. He enjoyed watching nascar and his favorite driver was Dale Earnhardt Senior and was a big Michigan State University Fan. Mickey enjoyed playing golf. Mickey will be greatly missed by spouse Joan Burrows; nephew, Tony (Clare) Anton of Boca Raton; his spouses children in Michigan and also his friends at the Blue Heron Pines. A celebration of Mickey’s life will be at 2:00 p.m, Saturday, February 10, 2007 at Blue Heron Pines Clubhouse in Punta Gorda.
