David F. Herzog, Sr.

David F. Herzog, Sr., 66, of Punta Gorda, formerly of Kankakee, Illinois, passed away March 24, 2009. He was the son of Paul and Elsie (Pollack) Herzog, born May 26, 1942 in Kankakee, Illinois. David worked for Quaker Oats for 33 years before retiring. After moving to Punta Gorda in 1998 he became a Charlotte County Realtor. He was a member of the Goldwing Roadriders and enjoyed sailing, playing guitar and running. David will be greatly missed by his wife of 49 years, Jean; sons, David Herzog, Jr of Clearwater, FL and Richard Herzog of Punta Gorda; brother, Tom Herzog of Dyer, IN; sister, Joanne Marcote of Benton, IL and four grandchildren. A celebration of David's life will be at 11:00 am, Saturday, March 28, 2009 at Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services.
