David A. Caparo

David A. Caparo, 78, of Punta Gorda passed away May 16, 2018. He was the son of Dominic and Ruth Caparo, born September 1, 1939 in Toledo, OH. David served in the US Navy and came to this area in 1969 from Indianapolis, IN. He served with the Charlotte County Sheriff Dept until his retirement in 2004. David was a member of the American Legion. He was of the Catholic faith. David will be greatly missed by his wife of 56 years, Jean; daughters, Chrisann Warn and Donna Jean Hansen; son, Darrell Caparo; sisters, Mary Kmiec, Diane Apfel, Linda Gapske, and Denise Caparo; brothers, Ronald Caparo and Gerald Caparo; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The Mass in celebration of Davids life will be at 11:00 a.m., on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Inurnment will be in Sarasota National Cemetery.
