Darrel R. Lemmons

Darrel R. Lemmons, 82, Punta Gorda passed away July 10, 2008. He was born February 6, 1926 in Pocahontas, Arkansas to Jesse and Mary (McNabb) Lemmons. Darrel served in the US Navy during WWII. He was a retired long distance trucker and moved from St. Louis, MO to Punta Gorda in 1991. Darrel was a member of the Masonic Lodge and was of the Southern Baptist faith. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 62 years, Mary Lou; daughter, Shelly Lemmons of Port Charlotte; sons, Thomas (Joy) Lemmons of St. Louis, MO and Dr. Joseph Lemmons of Ft. Myers, FL; brother, Thornton (Lois) Lemmons of Branson, MO; grandchildren, Sam, Caleb, Shelby and Rachel. A service will be held in St. Louis, MO.
