Dan "Lucky" Elden of Port Charlotte, FL died May 23, 2019 after a year-long struggle with cancer; he was just shy of his 68th birthday. He was born June 28, 1951 in Toledo, OH. He married his high school girlfriend, Karen, after college. Lucky was a jazz guitarist, author, avid boater and fisherman; he loved supporting all veterans. The Florida Gators have lost one more of their loyal fans. We will never look at a Bud Light the same way again. Las Vegas will be a little dimmer and every jazz solo run will miss his touch. Lucky will be remembered as a loving husband, father, brother, brother-in-law, uncle and best friend to many. "The song is ended, but the melody lingers on" - Irving Berlin Lucky will be greatly missed by his wife of 47 years, Karen. He will be joining his son, Jason, who preceded him in death six years ago. A celebration of Lucky's life will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, June 22, 2019 at American Legion Post 103, 2101 Taylor Road, Punta Gorda, FL 33950.
