Constance E. Rollins, 82, of Port Charlotte, formerly of Brewster, Massachusetts, died peacefully Sunday, January 6, 2013. She was born April 7, 1930 in Boston, MA to John and Marcia(nee MacLellan) Emory. A loving mother, accomplished homemaker, and inventive cook, she was retired from healthcare services. She was a Red Cross volunteer and Republican delegate. A lifelong Episcopalian, she was married to Frederick G Rollins for 33 years (deceased in 1986). Constance was a voracious reader, a poet and author of How Bernie the Bear Lost His Hair. A lifelong student of history and a discerning bargain hunter, she was especially known for being a loving, kind-hearted person and loyal friend. Constance is survived by her children, Lynne Rollins-Kinnier of Port Charlotte; widow of Capt. John Kinnier, USN; Kenneth B. Rollins and Robin Sears-Rollins of Brewster, MA; Michelle A Rollins-Hall and John Hall of Englewood, FL; Barbara R. Kasper and Robert Kasper of Walpole, NH and Susan R. Howes and Jerome Howes of Putney, VT; as well as her cherished grandchildren, John, Liz, Cathy, Sumner, Demere, Johanna, Annie, Meg, Emily, Christina, Lizzy and Marissa; and blessed by and proud of 9 great-grandchildren; brother, Frederick Stoffel of Milford, MA; sisters, Sandra Collum of Medway, MA, Paula Radtke of San Rafael, CA; uncle, Lewis F. MacLellan of Whitingsville, MA. A memorial service will be held at Noon, Thursday, January 10, 2013 at St. James Episcopal Church, Port Charlotte. Inurnment will be this summer in the family cemetery in Warren, Maine. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the local animal rescue shelter.
