Clifford E. Phillips

November 1, 1930 — January 31, 2020

Clifford ‘Cliff’ Earl Phillips, Greencastle, IN, was called to heaven on January 31, 2020, in Punta Gorda, FL. He was born November 1, 1930, the youngest of seven children to Olney and Hazel (Figg) Phillips, Coatesville, IN. Cliff was the beloved husband to S. Louise (Stienecker) for 61 years, she survives. And much-loved father to daughters Cheri (John) Janssen and Susie (Jim) Curtis. Cliff was a retired farmer in the Coatesville, IN community. He served in the Army during the Korean War. Cliff represented the area on the Clay County Rural Telephone Cooperative (Endeavor Communications) for many years. Cliff belonged to the Coatesville Lodge of Free Masons, He was a member of the Greencastle Christian Church and attend the First Christian Church of Fort Myers, FL during his winter months. Cliff was a proud and loving grandpa to Jessica and Cole Janssen, and Michael and Matthew Curtis. He will be missed by many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. His sister, Agnes Burroff survives. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers Frank Phillips, Walter (Bud) Phillips, and Herbert Phillips. And sisters, Lela Mae Smyth and Thelma Clugh.
