Cletus L. "Pap" Perritt, 78, of Port Charlotte died July 23, 2009. He was the son of Allen and Ethel (Hollingsworth) Perritt, born November 23, 1930 in Crandall, MS. Cletus served his country in the US Air Force. He retired from General Motors in Warren, OH after 31 years of service and moved to Port Charlotte in 1984. He was a member of Community Life Center for 20 years, and was attending First Baptist Church. Cletus will be greatly missed by his wife of 56 years, Marie; daughters, Kathy (Bill) Frank, Carolyn Odom, and Brenda (John) Heptinstall all of Port Charlotte; granddaughters, Nicki (Scott) Rice, Felicia (Allen) Lightbourn, Jaclyn Odom, and Stephanie Heptinstall; grandson, Josh Frank; and great-grandchildren, Cody, Caleb, Hunter, Mekhi, Shae, Davion, Arianna, Hope, Grace, and Chantia. The family will receive friends 10:00-11:00 am Monday July 27, 2009 at First Baptist Church of Port Charlotte with the service in celebration of Cletus' life beginning at 11:00 am. Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations may be made to The Butterfly Foundation (to help Disabled Children), c/o Amy Oliveria (941-204-5401).
