Clayton W. Justice, Jr.

October 31, 1945 — July 30, 2020

Born October 31, 1945, in Abington, Pennsylvania, Montgomery County; Son of Clayton and Evelyn (Reidenbach) Justice.

Graduated from Hatboro-Horsham High School in Horsham, PA in 1964.  Joined the Navy in 1965 and served on the USS Arcadia as an electrical stock clerk.  He is a Vietnam veteran and was Honorably Discharged from the United States Navy on September 19, 1971.

Retired as an Administrative Manager in 2001 after 35 years with the National Cash Register (NCR) of Bethlehem, PA.

Survived by his loving wife Catherine of Florida, stepson Tom Ahern and wife Courtney of PA, stepdaughter Tracy Grimm and husband Garnet of NY and three grandchildren, Willa Ahern of PA, Garnet, and Mira Grimm of NY.  Also, survived by two sisters, Judy Meade of NC and Joan McDonnell of PA.

After retirement, he and his wife, Cathy, resided in Punta Gorda, Florida, and wintered in Pawleys Island, SC until 2017 when they settled in Punta Gorda, FL.

Clayton was a very talented man who loved woodworking and remodeling homes.  His largest project was a weekend, 10-year, labor of love completing the inside of a beautiful cabin he and Cathy designed and had built in the Pocono Mountains.  He was very creative in his choice of building materials and used blue stone from his land.  He also made beautiful pieces of furniture which they have displayed in their home in Florida.  Clayton and Cathy loved the mountains but decided to head south to warmer weather for retirement.  Clayton loved being on the water.  He and Cathy spent a lot of time at the beach and on the boat fishing, clamming, shelling, and exploring the waters of Pawleys Island and the Gulf of Mexico.

Clayton was the love of Cathy’s life and will be sorely missed.  He will also be missed by his family and all the friendships he has formed in his life.  May he rest in peace and watch over all of us.

A Celebration of Life will be planned for Clayton when we are safe from COVID-19.
