Christa Livingston

June 2, 1929 — August 28, 2015

Christa Clara Livingston, 86, of Punta Gorda passed away peacefully August 28, 2015. She was the daughter of Erich and Marichien (Stephan) Bromme, born June 2, 1929 in Nordenham, Germany. She emigrated from Germany in 1952, and became a US citizen 5 years later. Christa worked for Estee Lauder on Long Island, and Scotch Valley Ski Area in Stamford, NY. Christa and husband, Frank, began wintering here in 1987 and became permanent residents in 2003. She was a quilter, member of the Eastern Star, and an active member of LWML and Faith Lutheran Church. Christa will be greatly missed by her husband of 61 years, Frank; daughters, Irene (Peter) Maskelony, and Karie (Laura) Livingston; brother, Heinz (Ursula) Bromme; sister, Erika May; grandchildren, Phill (Lauren), Laurie (Bob), Ed, and Jim; and great-grandchildren, Tallulah, Oliver, and Peter; niece, Barbara; nephew, Hans Gerd and sister-in-law, Gertrude. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Gerd. The memorial service in celebration of Christa's life will be at Noon Saturday, September 12, 2015 at Faith Lutheran Church.
