Charles W. Marotte

Charles W. Marotte, 69, of Port Charlotte peacefully passed away January 12, 2011. He was the son of Harold and Angelina Marotte, born June 3, 1941 in New York, NJ. Charles served in the US Marines and was a member of the Painting Union and Electrical Union in New York. He moved from New Jersey to Port Charlotte in 1990. He will be remembered as "Papa" to all the children who passed through the door of Storybook Academy and Storybook Too!. Charles will be greatly missed by his wife, Gloria Jean; daughter, Lisa Snyder, Diana (Rolando) Gomez; sons, Gregory (Caroline) Daniels, and Jeffrey Daniels; grandchildren, Ashley Snyder, Liza Daniels, Wilson Rodriguez, John Rodriguez, Nicholas Rodriguez, Brandon Gomez and Zachary Gomez; great-grandchildren; Jamal Roberts and Darnell Bennett; brothers, Kenneth Marotte and Richard (Olympia) Marotte; son-in-law, Donald McLean and brother in law, Charles Camaroto. A memorial service will be at 5:00 pm, Sunday, January 16, 2011 at New Day Christian Church, Port Charlotte. IRISH BLESSING May the road rise to meet you. May the wind be always at your back.
