Charles S. Roffman

Charles S. Roffman, 89, of Punta Gorda passed away August 6, 2008. He was born June 6, 1919 in Malden, MA to Morris and Ann (Porter) Roffman. Charles served in the US Marine Corps during World War II. A retired attorney, he was a graduate of Suffolk University and Suffolk University Law School, Boston, MA. Charles was an avid baseball fan who followed both the Boston Red Sox and the Tampa Bay Rays. He will be greatly missed by his daughters, Penny June Black of Northboro, MA and Sherry Ann Newman of Hope Valley, RI; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Norma, and daughter, Jayne Hathaway. One of nine siblings, he is also survived by his brother Abraham. A private committal service will be held.
