Charles R. Johnson

Charles R. Johnson, 93, of North Port, FL passed away November 8, 2016. He was the son of Charles and Ruth Johnson, born June 7, 1923 in Randolph, MA. Charles was a retired Commander from the US Navy during WWII. He was a teacher at Venice High School and an avid golfer. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Venice, FL. Charles will be greatly missed by his sons, Richard Johnson, James Johnson and Arthur Johnson; daughters, Mary Ruth Johnson, Jeananne Mazzolini and Terry Romo; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria and son, Robert Johnson. A graveside service will be at 11am, Thursday, November 10, 2016 at Sarasota National Cemetery.
