Charles L. (Chuck) Philbrook

Charles Linden (Chuck) Philbrook 95, husband of Regina (Biondo) Philbrook of 28 years.

We sent Charles Linden (Chuck) Philbrook (95) on his final Harley Davidson ride after dying peacefully in Punta Gorda Florida on 10/15/22.

Born in Rockland ME to Everett Philbrook and Frances (Lunt) Philbrook of Rockland, Maine.

He married Margaret (Peggy) Dennis in 1947. They had 4 children.

He returned to graduate from Rockland High School after serving in the Navy on the destroyer USS Morrison, in the battle for Okinawa, during WWII.

Charlie worked for National Marine Fisheries and was transferred to Gloucester in 1959 and continued to work in law enforcement for National Marine fisheries checking legal net size on international fishing trawlers. He retired at 55 in 1982.

After retirement he worked as a bus driver for the Gloucester school system and loved transporting the Gloucester high school teams to their out of town games. He coached Riverdale Rockets for over 15 years. He loved his sports and travelled with his son Kim, on many trips to Canada to play Hockey.

He enjoyed many trips on his Harley to Laconia, NH, Daytona, FL. Sturgis, SD with his wife Regina, where they got married. Also a special trip around the Gaspe Peninsula with his son in law Steve. Music was always a big part of Charlie’s life. Learning the guitar from his mother in law Electa to having his own radio show on WRKD. He played in many bands with Fred (Tommy) Thompson, his brother he never had. From rock and roll to country, finally singing karaoke at the Punta Gorda Elks.

He is survived by wife Regina (Biondo) Philbrook as well as his children Linda Burke (Stephen), Kim Philbrook (Rorie), Ruthanne Fitzgerald ( Chris). Grandchildren Dawn, Kacia, Stephen (Haley), Jesse (Alex), Kevin (Michelle), Tyler (Ashleigh), Ryan, Jack and Maggie. Great grandchildren Braden, Cameron, Olivia, Emerson, Gabby, Penelope, Vera, Myles, Noah, Bennett, Meadow, and Lakey. 

Also survived by his step children Rosalie Lentini (Michael), Sherry Olson (David) and Michele Lamy also their grandchildren, Michael, Joshua, Christopher (Abigail), Jessica, Connor (Melodie), Anthony, and great-grandchildren Finley, Ahniah, and Torvi. He was pre-deceased by his mother, father , wife Margaret ( Dennis) Philbrook, special Aunt, Ruth Lunt, son Charles (Chipper) Philbrook, mother in law Electa Dennis, Charlie was a dedicated son, husband, father and grandfather and will be loved and missed by all he touched.
