Charles Detchon

Capt. Charles Detchon, 68, of Port Charlotte, FL, formerly of Hamilton, OH passed away September 17, 2015 after a short battle with cancer. He was the son of Charles and Jane Detchon, born January 4, 1947 in Pittsburgh, PA. Charles served in the US Army infantry platoon leader, B Troop, 2-17 Cavalry, Vietnam and was awarded a Purple Heart. He enjoyed playing video games and fishing. Chuck will be greatly missed by his sisters, Karen Wiese, Carol MacDonald and Kathy Picklesimer; 7 nieces and nephews and dear friends, Vicki Jo Pogson, Jessica Davis and CB Phillips. He was preceded in death by his parents. A celebration of life will be held at 3pm, Sunday, October 25, 2015 at Englewood Beach.
