Charles B. Bright, Jr.

Charles B. Bright, Jr., 93, of Port Charlotte passed away December 17, 2010. He was born July 16, 1917 in Philadelphia, PA to Anna (Thomas) and Charles B. Bright, Sr. Charles served in the Army at the Battle of the Bulge during WWII. He moved to this area from Fort White, FL in 2002 and was in the maintenance department for Lee County School Board before retiring. Charles was a member of United Church of Christ and enjoyed helping other people. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 38 years, Dorothy; sons, Charles B. (Patricia) III of St. Louis, MO and Richard W. (Radine) of St. Louis, MO; step-daughters, Marlena (Robert) Gibbs of Lake Placid, FL and Marie (Mark) Spittler of Port Charlotte; step-sons, Frank (Barbara) Grant of Ocala, FL and Daniel (Carolyn) Grant of Fort Myers; nineteen grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
