Charles Aynes

Charles Aynes, 94, of Port Charlotte, Florida went home to be with the Lord on May 30, 2024. He was born in Brown County, Indiana on November 15, 1929, the son of the late Nota Robertson and late William Aynes. 

Charles graduated from Nashville High School in Indiana in 1948. He enlisted in the United States Air Force and served during the Korean War. After serving his country he returned to Indiana where he met his wife, Mary Jane Ogle. They married in 1961. He worked in building supplies and insurance claim processing until 1998 when he retired and moved to Port Charlotte, Florida with his wife. 

Charles was preceded in death by his mother, Nota Robertson; step-father, Jasper Robertson; father, William Aynes; wife, Mary Jane Aynes; and son, Robert Aynes. 

He is survived by his son, Stephen (Virginia) Aynes of Rotonda West, Florida. From Indianapolis, he is survived by daughter-in-law Kim Aynes as well as grandchildren Angelique Aynes and Rolando Chavez. He enjoyed traveling the country, woodworking, antique cars, working with his collection of tools, reading, and listening to music.
