Catherine Joan Calabrese

Catherine �Joan� Foody Calabrese, 70, of Port Charlotte, formerly of MA passed away Thursday, September 8, 2011. She was born March 30, 1941 in Cambridge, MA to Frank and Catherine (Clark) Foody. Joan retired after 28 years from Teradyne in Boston & North Reading, MA. Joan and her late husband Gus were members of Winter Hill Yacht Club, MA. During their year as members of the yacht club they enjoyed an active social life. Joan also enjoyed cooking and entertaining for family and friends especially around holiday gatherings during her years in Massachusetts. Joan will be greatly missed by her children Anthony DiRusso of Charleston, MA, Beth McGuerty of Stratham, NH and Allen DiRusso of Concord, NC; grandson, Adam Hodges of Medford, MA and sister, Evelyn Foody Driscoll of Syracuse, NY. . She was preceded in death by her husband, Gus Calabrese; parents, sister, Mary Foody Blumquist and brother, Francis Foody. A memorial service to celebrate Joan and Gus�s life will be 11:00am, Saturday, October 8, 2011 at Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services.
