Carolyn R. Edgar

Carolyn R. Edgar, 83, of Punta Gorda passed away December 18, 2018. She was the daughter of Arley G. and Mary Alice Snarr, born August 11, 1935 in Springfield, OH. Carolyn graduated from Springfield (South) High School in 1953, and received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Miami University, Oxford, OH, where she was a member of Alpha Chi Omega sorority. She had a 30 year career in the real estate and relocation industries where she received the designation of Graduate Realtors Institute (GRI) and Certified Residential Specialist. A classically trained pianist, she played keyboards and piano with several worship ministries throughout Connecticut and here in Florida. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and Church of the Apostles in Fairfield, CT, and Peace River Baptist Church in Punta Gorda, FL. Carolyn was a member of the Peace River Sanctuary Choir and the Ladies Prayer Group. Carolyn will be greatly missed by her husband, William "Terry;" sons, Henry Ralston of Sarasota and Daniel Ralston of Bradenton; daughter, Gretchen Danielle Berhel of Port Charlotte; step-daughter, Pamela Edgar (Andrij Dobriansky) of Brooklyn, NY; granddaughters, Renee Neal (Julian) of North Port and Gabrielle Berhel of Port Charlotte; great-grandson, Camden Jay Neal; and great-granddaughter, Charlotte Neal. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at Peace River Baptist Church.
