Cara Lynn Kenny, 45, of Port Charlotte, FL passed away on Wed., March 12, 2014 from complications due to a lengthy illness. She was the daughter of Richard and Barbara Kenny, born September 2, 1968 in Lowell, MA. Cara grew up in Dunstable, MA, where she enjoyed riding horses as well as painting landscapes and animal portraits. She attended high school at the Greater Lowell Vocational Technical School. After high school, she moved to Phoenix, AZ, where she pursued a career in hairdressing. In her mid-twenties, Cara moved to Port Charlotte, FL and continued hairdressing. She was always fond of caring for small creatures such as tropical birds, fish, and iguanas. Cara is survived by her thirteen year old son, Jack Patrick Kenny; parents, Richard and Barbara Kenny of Punta Gorda, FL and brother, Patrick Kenny of Dunstable, MA. A memorial service will be held at 4pm, Monday, March 24, 2014 at Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services. Memorial donations may be made to Tidewell Hospice of Englewood.
