Brian P. Duffy

Brian Patrick Duffy, 66, of Punta Gorda passed away May 12, 2007. He was born October 16, 1940 in Scranton, Pennsylvania to Marian and Bernard Duffy. Brian graduated from South Catholic High School and the University of Scranton. He was employed for over 21 years with Pepsi-Cola in St. Louis and retired as a District Manger. Brian and Angela retired to Punta Gorda in 2001 and joined the PG Islanders Boat Club, where he was the captain of his boat, Irish Eyes. He was very active in the community and local government, including Vice Chairman of the Punta Gorda Board of Zoning and Appeals and a member of The Ponce de Leon Conquistadors. Brian will be greatly missed by his wife of 43 years, Angela; sons Patrick (Kathy) Duffy and Michael (Shelly) Duffy both of St. Louis, MO; grandchildren Ryan, Sean, Allison and Johnathan Duffy; sister Margaret Mitchell of Warwick, NY. A celebration of Brian’s life will be at 5:00 pm, Wednesday, May 16, 2007 at the Punta Gorda Isles Civic Center.
