Bob Seglin

Robert B. Seglin, 83, of Punta Gorda passed away November 16, 2006. He was born February 9, 1923 in Philadelphia, PA, the son of Herman and Mary (Beck) Seglin. Bob served his country during WWII with the Navy Seabees. He was a heavy equipment mechanic and came to Punta Gorda from Somers Point, NJ after his retirement in 1989. Bob was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Fort Myers Chapter of Island X8, and the US Navy Seabee Veterans of America. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Bob will be greatly missed by his wife of 19 years, Anna L. Seglin; daughters, Cathy Costello of Royersford, PA, Barbara Dean, and Marie Lipps, both of Willow Grove, PA; step-daughter, Carol (Bill) Carter of Clermont, FL; step-son, Robert (Jackie) Loth of Millville, NJ; sister Joan (Harvey) Levine of Davie, FL; niece, Bonnie (Jason) Berggren of Davie, FL; 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Lewis J. Seglin. The family will receive friends 12:30 - 1:30 pm Monday, November 20 at the Punta Gorda Chapel Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services. The service in celebration of Bob’s life will be at 2:00 pm at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Memorial donations may be made to Island X8, c/o Cornelius Kuivenhoven, 564 Horizon Drive, N.
