Beverly Flaherty

Beverly Ann Flaherty, age 86, passed away peacefully in her sleep on July 11, 2020. She was born in Jersey City, NJ to Anne and Arthur Lofstrom. She married Paul G. Flaherty who preceded her in death in 1975.

Beverly always had a fondness for children, especially her own.  She was a homemaker for many years and was able to continue caring for other children in child care and as a school crossing guard. In April of 2000, she relocated to Punta Gorda, FL from Jersey City.  She became a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and enjoyed spending time playing bingo with friends or quietly reading a book.

Beverly will be deeply missed by her daughters Sharon (Frank) Pisano of Jacksonville, FL, Kathleen (Gerard) Maron of Louisville, KY, Mary Ellen Flaherty of Punta Gorda, FL and Madonna (Peter) Donnellan of Oak Park, IL; son Paul (Jennifer) Flaherty of Mill Valley, CA; brother Richard (Constance) Lofstrom of Las Vegas, NV; 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her brother Arthur E. (Theresa) Lofstrom of Putnam Valley, NY.

A service will be announced for a future date.  In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the American Diabetes Association.
