Betty M. Starsmeare

Betty M. Starsmeare, 91, of Punta Gorda passed away July 1, 2006. She was born October 21, 1914 in Staten Island, NY, the daughter of August and Betty (Alf) Ullmann. Betty enjoyed working in her garden, and knitting. She was a member of Linwood Methodist Church in Linwood, NJ where she taught Sunday School and was a Youth Leader for 35 years. Betty came to Punta Gorda in 2000 from Maryland. Betty will be greatly missed by her son, George (Dollie) Starsmeare of Punta Gorda; granddaughters, Cynthia (Randall) Starsmeare-Lee of Bradenton and Andrea (Eric) Coty of Medway, MA; and 3 great-grandchildren. A memorial service celebrating Betty’s life will be at 7:00 pm Thursday, July 6, 2006 at the Punta Gorda Chapel of Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services. The family requests memorial donations be made to the First United Methodist Church Building Fund, 507 W. Marion Ave, Punta Gorda, FL 33950.
