Betty Allgood

Betty Allgood, 91, of Port Charlotte passed peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, February 7, 2013. She was the daughter of Burton and Lucy (nee Futral) Williams, born September 16, 1921 in Gardner, FL. Betty was a member of First Baptist Church of Punta Gorda and attended New Day Baptist Church in Arcadia. Betty was a homemaker, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who was passionate about cooking for her family and enjoyed gardening. She will be greatly missed by her daughters, Judy (Tom) Joyner of Scaly Mountain, NC and Roberta Morse of Arcadia, FL; grandchildren, Jennifer, Alex, Jennilen and Kyle; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Ciera, Garrett, Wyatt, Ava, Caleb and Madeline. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Allgood; brother, Harold Williams; son-in-law, Marcus Morse and a granddaughter. A memorial service will be held to celebrate Betty's life at 6:00 pm, Monday, February 11, 2013 at Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services.
