Bettie Isaacson

Bettie Isaacson, 83, of Punta Gorda passed away on October 23, 2009. She was the daughter of John and Georgia (Atwood) Crabtree, born in Peoria, OK. Bettie was a huge fan of boating and her alma mater, the University of Michigan. One of her greatest loves was her career in teaching, having taught French and English for the Carman-Ainsworth School District in Flint, MI. She helped many people during her life, including fellow teachers and countless students. Bettie will be greatly missed by her daughters, Sherry (John) Fedototszkin of Rochester Hills, MI, and Debbie (Ray) Reaume of Gibraltar, MI; son, Shane Isaacson of Venice, CA; beloved grandchildren, Laura Fisher of Dorchester, MA, and Alex Fedototszkin of Toledo, OH; great-grandson, Tyler, who brought her great joy; half-sisters, Kathy Crabtree of Tigard, OR and Kay (Larry) Herzog of Swartz Creek, MI. A memorial is planned for January 2010 in Punta Gorda. Memorial donations may be made in her memory to TideWell Hospice, 5955 Rand Boulevard, Sarasota, FL 34238.
