Bernadette M. Fitch

Bernadette M. Fitch, 90, of Punta Gorda passed away May 4, 2016. She was the daughter of Joseph and Mary Blickley, born December 11, 1925 in Brockton, PA. Bernadette worked as a grocery store clerk in Baltimore. She had lived in Ridge Manor, FL for several years, and moved to Punta Gorda in 2003 from Kissimmee. While living in Ridge Manor, she attended St. Ann's Parrish and enjoyed being at Mass or watching Mass on TV when she couldn't attend. Spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren was her greatest joy. Bernadette will be greatly missed by her daughters, Dorothy Fitch, Muryl Horan, Barbara Fitch, and Laurie Mantle; son, Arthur Fitch; 5 grandsons, 9 granddaughters, 8 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was the last member of her generation. The Mass in celebration of Bernadette's life will be at 11:00 am on Thursday, May 19, 2016 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
