Beatrice J. Hoekstra

Beatrice J. Hoekstra, 79, of Punta Gorda, FL passed away January 21, 2017. She was the daughter of Harry and Henrietta Vander Ploeg, born November 17, 1937 in Chicago, IL. Beatrice moved from Naples to Punta Gorda in 2016. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Beatrice enjoyed cooking, taking pictures, knitting, music and playing family games. She will be greatly missed by her husband of 62 years, Raymond; daughter Beverly (Craig) Gish; sons, Raymond (Sandy) Hoekstra, Jr. and Donald Hoekstra; brother, John (Lou) Vander Ploeg; grandchildren, Chad, Stephanie, Kyle and Kristin and great-grandchildren, Callie, Liam, Nathan, Heather and Lily. A memorial service to celebrate Beatrice's life will be at 2pm, Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services.
