Beatrice Ann Mcclain

Beatrice Ann McClain, 83, of Port Charlotte passed away April 29, 2018. She was the daughter of Roy and Minnie Richards, born July 8, 1934 in Indianapolis, IN. Bea served as secretary for the National Assn. of Power Engineers; and was very involved with the Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed spending time with her family playing various card and board games. Bea loved hibiscus flowers, anything the color purple, and dancing. She was known as Queen Bea at trivia games and enjoyed playing cards at the Cultural Center. Bea will be greatly missed by her son, Kevin (Susan) McClain; daughter, Kimberly (John) Gregal; brother, Walter (Carol) Richards; grandchildren, Marlana (Andrea Leathers) McClain and Matthew (Chutima) McClain; great-granddaughter, Emilia McClain; 4 step-grandchildren, 5 step-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and many others she adopted into her family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Kenneth Gene and infant daughter, Pamela Ann. No services are planned at this time.
