On Tuesday, December 3, 2019, Barney H. Stoll, a loving husband, and friend, passed away at the age of 68 in Punta Gorda, FL. He was born on October 18, 1951, to Barthol Sr. and Frances Stoll on the Patuxent River Naval Base in Maryland.
Barney honorably served in the U.S. Navy and worked in construction and iron working as a manager for over 40 years. He married the love of his life, Linda, on May 1, 2010, and they moved to Punta Gorda from Las Vegas following his retirement in December of 2017.
A true lover of the skies, he began skydiving in 1980 and was a member of the Flyin’ Elvi Skydiving team. His passion led him to obtain over 3500 jumps, including 2 jumps by the Elvi team over Bayfront Hospital in Punta Gorda. He was an avid scuba diver and loved boating and hunting. Barney was also a member of the New Day Christian Church in Port Charlotte. He will be remembered fondly by his friends, family and all that knew him for his infectious smile, kind spirit and fearless passion of viewing life from the clouds.
