Barbara T. Roeser

Barbara T. Roeser, 80, of Punta Gorda passed away January 27, 2007. She was born July 27, 1926 in Elgin, Illinois to William Hale and Ruth Gertrude (Kenyon) Treadwell. Barbara graduated from Elgin High School in 1944. She was a member of Gamma Phi Beta Sorority and was voted Chicago’s first “Miss Outdoors” at the Sports and Travel Show. Barbara worked for 30 years in Roeser’s Bakery with her husband before moving to Florida in 1979. She will be greatly missed by her husband, John; daughters Jennifer (Ames) Seefeld of Kohler, WI and Elette (Bill) Drew of Elk Grove Village, IL; son, John C. (Debbie) Roeser, III of River Forest, IL; grandchildren, Allison, Kailee, John IV all of River Forest, IL; along with many nieces and nephews. Barbara was preceded in death by her brother Bill Treadwell. A private family service will be held at a later date.
