BARBARA JEAN VAUGHAN – NEE BANTA

Barbara Jean Vaughan, age 94

God said it was time…. One of nine children, Barbara was born in Indianapolis, IN to Wm “Artie” and Ruth E. Banta. She was married to Gene Erwin Vaughan (preceded) and she was blessed with FOUR Children, Linda Oliver (Charles Oliver, preceded), Stephen Vaughan (Theresa Vaughan), Cathy Hof (Alan Hof) and Kim Platzer (Martin Platzer, preceded)… She had NINE Grand Children (Jeremy Platzer, preceded) and SEVENTEEN Great Grand Children and SIX Great Great Grand Children.

She saw the world through “Rose Colored Glasses” with the love for God, Family, and Children. Children would come to her kindness and hold on to every word she said. She babysat for children for many years. One of her careers was a secretary and stenographer for many companies throughout her life. She retired from Liberty Mutual Insurance Company.

Barbara treasured spending time at the beach with her family and friends and of course her children. She loved to Dance the Jitterbug with her husband. She was quite the seamstress and would sew clothes for her children, family, and friends. She also enjoyed crocheting blankets for everyone.

She relished in being a Mom, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother.

GOD WILL BE PLEASED WHEN SHE ENTERS THE PEARLY GATES…..
