Barbara C. Truttling

Barbara C. Truttling, 84, of Punta Gorda, formerly of Whitehall, NY passed away Friday, December 23, 2011. She was born December 20, 1927 in Jamaica to Septimus and Floris (Nevia) Hopwood. Barbara was a retired registered nurse. She was a volunteer at Port Charlotte Cultural Center, former foster parent, supporter of Jamaican Charities and a volunteer at the Bread of Life Mission (Judy Jones) and a member of San Antonio Catholic Church. Barbara will be greatly missed by her husband of 44 years, Alvin; daughters, Sigrid Rose of Moutain View, CA, Marcia Rose of E. Orange, NJ and Daun (Michael) Margin of LA, CA; sons, LaMont (Charmaine) of Schnectady, NY and Damian of Poultney, VT; brothers, Clinton (Inelle) Dyke Hollywood of FL and Gary (Jane) Dyke of Ft. Lauderdale FL; sisters, Patricia (Gavin) Trotman of Laurelton, NY and Jean (Austin) Young of Palm Coast, FL and grandchildren, Adam, Joshua, Olivia and Allison. A visitation will be 4:00 - 6:00 pm, Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services. A funeral mass will be at 11:00 am, December 28, 2011 at San Antonio Catholic Church.
