Barbara Ann Ashley

Barbara Ann Ashley, 77, of Punta Gorda RV Resort formerly of Oakland County, MI passed away Monday, April 12, 2010 surrounded by her family. Barbara was the daughter of Victor and Louise (Peters) Baird, born July 23, 1932 in Detroit, MI. She was a faithful member of St. Williams in Walled Lake, MI and Sacred Heart, Punta Gorda. When not employed at Oakland County Sheriff Dept or White Lake Twsp Assessors Office, Barbara could be found volunteering at local hospitals, nursing homes and dancing with her one & only as "Angels" teaching newcomers to squaredance. She will be remembered as a fun loving woman with a great sense of humor and will be missed by all who knew her. Barbara will be greatly missed by her beloved husband of 60 years, Charles Ashley, loving mother of Steve (Kathy) Ashley of Ortonville, MI and Roxanne Jamnik of Chergaralle Beach, MD, dear grandmother of Steve (Kelly) Ashley, David Ashley, Allison (Joel) Geary, Nate Jamnik and loving great-grandmother to Brian Ashley; including extended family, friends made in Florida as well as lifelong friends in Michigan. A memorial mass will be at 11 am, April 14, 2010 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Memorial donation may made to Punta Gorda RV Resort Recreation Fund, 3701 Baynard Drive, Punta Gorda, FL 33950.
