Arthur K. Smith

Arthur "Artie" Smith, 64, of Long Island, NY, passed away Tuesday, Jan 4, 2012, in Port Charlotte, Fl. He was born July 14, 1947 in New York. Artie served in the US Marine Corps during Vietnam War, as a sharp shooter and saved the life of a young soldier. Artie moved to Port Charlotte from New York 15 years ago. He retired from the Winn Dixie Store and then worked at Peace River Regional Medical Center. Artie will be greatly missed by his best friend, Joseph Citro and his family. A Memorial service will be held at 12:00 pm, Monday, Jan. 9, 2012 at First Baptist Church, Port Charlotte. Arrangements are by Larry Taylor Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
