Aristides Leo Panos

Aristides Leo Panos, 82, of Port Charlotte passed away September 5, 2006. He was born July 16, 1924 in Detroit, MI to Basil and Marina (Tsianaica) Panos. Aristides served in the US Army during WWII. He moved to Port Charlotte from Detroit, MI in 1973 after retiring as a Sgt. Detective with Detroit Police Department 16th Precinct. Aristides was a member of the VFW Post 5690 in Port Charlotte and the Port Charlotte Moose Lodge. He was an avid bowler, loved working in his yard, enjoyed traveling and walks on the beach He will be greatly missed by his daughter Charmaine Tincher of Sarasota, FL; brothers Andrew Panos of Surprise, AZ and George Panos of Carlsbad, CA; grandchildren Brandon Crane and Dawn Ogilvie both of Sarasota, FL and great-grandchildren Jonathan, Cameron and Emily. Aristides was preceded in death by his wife Loretta. No services are planned at this time.
