Antonetta Marie daSilva, 84, of Port Charlotte, FL, formerly of Gloucester, MA, passed away November 28, 2016. She was the wife of Fernando daSilva and daughter of Sebastian and Cologera Lovasco, born April 8, 1932 in Boston, MA. Antonetta was a seamstress at Mighty Mack, and then worked in the cafeteria at Saint Peter's High School before opening "Arnie's Coffee Shop" in Gloucester, MA. She was a member of GFC, Holy Family, DES and Our Lady of Good Voyage. When Fernando fell ill with ALS, Netta was his devoted caregiver for 9 years. Antonetta loved spending time with her family and grandchildren, especially cooking for them and watching cooking shows to learn new recipes. Her home was always open to family and friends. Antonetta will be greatly missed by her sons, Fernando, John and his wife, Kayleen and Richard and his wife, Tracy; daughters, Emily Henson and Leanne and her husband, Frank Ciaramitaro; daughter in-law, Jeanne daSilva; sister, Augusta (Cede) and her husband, James Panos and grandchildren, Shauna, Nickia, John Paul, Anthony, Monique, Julianna, Jessica, Frank Jr., Jeremy and Bryan; 14 great-grandchildren; as well as many beloved nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Anthony Lovasco and her sisters Lee, Geraldine, Angie Pallazola, Grace Stack and Rose Palermo. Her funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of Good Voyage Church, 136 Prospect Street, Gloucester on December 16th at 9:30am. Burial will be held in the Calvary Cemetery on Eastern Avenue, Gloucester. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to The ALS Foundation or Hospice in Antonetta's memory.
