Ann Marie Stack

Ann Marie Stack, 72, of Punta Gorda passed away on April 28, 2016. She was born on April, 17 1944 in Malden, MA to Charles V. and Mary A. Gormley. Ann graduated from Lynnfield High School. Ann was a bookkeeper for her family's business Gormley Motor Transportation while in Massachusetts. On March 21, 1970, Ann married the love for her life Don Stack. In 1982, Ann and her husband Don moved their family to Punta Gorda where Ann became a realtor and worked for many years at Sorrentino Realty and Five Star Realty until retiring. Ann will always be remembered for her booming laugh and ability to light up a room when she walked in. Ann will be greatly missed by daughter, Kimberley (Gary) Millwater of Venice; sons, D.J. (Michael) Stack, Jr. of Orlando and Chuck (Rita) Stack of Port Charlotte; 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; brother, Paul (Maureen) Gormley; brother-in-law, John Rogers; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her adoring husband of 46 years, Donald J. Stack, Sr.; her parents; sister, Joan Lawrence; brother, Bill Gormley. A celebration of life will be held at 4pm, Saturday, May 7, 2016 at the American Legion Post 103, 2101 Taylor Rd. Punta Gorda. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Ann's favorite charity, Shriners Hospitals for Children in her memory. Arrangements are by Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation.
