Alvin Kendall, 68, of Baltimore, VT and Punta Gorda, FL died Jan. 28, 2011 in Punta Gorda. Alvin was the son of Addison and Elizabeth (Perry) Kendall, born on Feb. 8, 1942, in Springfield, VT. Growing up he was a member of 4H Club and graduated from High School in Chester, VT. He married Eileen Faignant in 1963. He delivered grain, did farm work, served in the Army Reserves and was employed as a machinist at Bryants in Springfield, VT. Alvin enjoyed farming, gardening, swimming, and bocce. But was best known for being "about average". Alvin will be greatly missed by his daughters, Carrie Holowis of Boyertown, PA and Carla Ward of Springfield, VT; son, Leonard Kendall of Charlestown, NH; sisters, Elva Ackely of Henderson, N.Y., and Lora Wheelock of Baltimore, VT; brothers, Harrison Kendall, Jason Kendall and Orson Kendall, all of Baltimore, VT; and two granddaughters. He was predeceased by his wife, Eileen. A memorial service will be at 1PM on Saturday March 12th, 2011 in the community room at Parkhill Estates on Burntstore Road in Punta Gorda. There will be a private memorial for the friends of Bill W. on Sunday March 13, 2011.
