Allen Ogle

Allen Ogle, 65, of Punta Gorda passed away August 15, 2015. He was born August 17, 1949 to Marion and Lucy Ogle. Allen served in the US Navy on board the USS Saratoga during the Vietnam War. He was the owner/operator of Bill's Tackle Shop in Punta Gorda. He was a member of the American Legion. As an avid fisherman, Allen held the IGFA World Record for a 991 lb Hammerhead Shark caught using 135 lb test line from 1982 to 2006. Allen will be greatly missed by his father, Marion Ogle; daughter Julie Ogle; brother, JD (Marlene) Ogle; sisters, Ellen Ogle and Sandra (Terry) Padilla and 2 granddogs, Sayber and Scarlett. He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy and mother, Lucy. A memorial service will be held at later date.
