Allen Charles Davidson

Many hearts are saddened today as we mourn the loss of Allen "Al" Charles Davidson, 61, Port Charlotte resident since 2002 who passed away 12/08/09 at home. Mr. Davidson owned and operated Davidson's Lawn Care until earlier this year when it was discovered he had Pancreatic Cancer Stage 4. Allen a Vietnam Veteran served in the US Navy on the USS Milwaukee. After receiving an honorable discharge he returned to his hometown where he met and married his wife. The family lived in the CT area till moving to GA in 1989. In 2002 Allen and his wife moved to the Port Charlotte area. Allen born in Norwalk, CT 11/22/1948 was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Doris (Roy) Davidson. He is survived by his wife of 37 years Sharon (Merritt), daughter Heather (Pierce), Son-in-law, Jason and granddaughter Cheyenne Adrianna Pierce of Lilburn, GA. Additional surviving family members include his sister LouAnn DePreta (Thomas) of Stamford, CT, brother Robert (Kathy) of Easton, CT, 3 nieces, 2 nephews and extended family across the world. A "Celebration of Life" memorial will be held at the residence on Friday, December 11th , with the Rosary at 5pm. Family and friends will be received at the residence from 12 noon till 7PM.
